This is an asynchronous 6 week course in which OuiSign Communication allows you to learn foundational and intermediate signing skills through self-paced online modules. Students will engage with pre-recorded instructional videos, guided practice activities, vocabulary development, and cultural content focused on the sign communication. This format emphasizes visual comprehension, receptive skills, and independent practice, allowing students to review material as needed while progressing toward course learning objectives. There will be minimal corrective feedback to assist with skill improvement. In this course you will have one scheduled session with an instructor.

This is a hybrid 6 week course in which OuiSign Communication allows you to learn foundational and intermediate signing skills through a combination of online learning with scheduled live virtual sessions. Students apply concepts, which are introduced in the asynchronous modules, through interactive signing practice, conversational activities, and real-time feedback from the instructor. This component focuses on expressive and receptive skills, fluency development, and cultural awareness. You will be provided opportunities for direct engagement, peer interaction, and skill refinement in a supportive learning environment. In this course you will have on-line “self-paced” activities which are connected to live, scheduled, instructor lead sessions [weekly Zoom sessions].
